I have recently put a 77 motorhome 440 in my 66 Coronet and when I got the engine the motorhomes torque converter was still attached. Can I use that torque converter in my car or would it be better to just buy a new one? The engine will be basically stock not building a race car running through a 2.76 rear 8 & 3/4.

If you have the 66 transmission in there, you'll need the 66 down converter. Different splines than a 67 up converter.
Or change the input shaft

I've acquired a rebuilt 74 transmission. I'm upgrading from a slant six so anything related to that including the 7 &1/4 rear is gone.

Then the converter should work.
