Got something cool for you guys to check out today.
I bought this block apart of a deal a few months ago from a gentleman who has had this block in storage for years... He purchased it from a shop in Tampa, FL I believe back in the mid 80's. Other than that it is unknown on the exact history of it, but I'm assuming it is a 440 block due to the raised ID pad... The cool part is that RAMCHARGERS/5-24-74 is stamped on the ID pad. Casting number is 2586480-7. VIN location has 2 L9A 151637 stamped in it. Bore measures out at 4.340 like a stock 400 or what a .020 over 440 would be... Only information I could find with a quick google search is on stockmopar.com (Screenshot below) that shows all ???'s and to contact them if you have any information.
Anyone have any idea on the history of these blocks or what this block actually is? Thanks!
