Lot of fire trucks are not geared to sustain 70-75 mph on the highway. They usually do not go far. Anything with a old mechanical diesel will pretty much be standing on the fuel pedal the whole time you are on the highway, as in all the way to the floor for hours. Gas motor will be the same but you will never make 70 mph unless down hill.
Still would make a cool truck, better if it was set down over a pre emissions late model school bus chassis
