Did this maybe 5-6 years ago.
What was the reasoning trying to make a street freak?
He was making up for other shortcomings.
BHJ Axle Alignment fixture there??
Take another look, there is an internal alignment bar holding the bearing race location....The outside is the worst place to align the tubes. Only trust an internal bar.

Homemade but made it all at work during slack times.BHJ Axle Alignment fixture there??
Read first reply....I have only one question.
Why?
X2, that'll work!Somebody knows how to set up a proper weld!!!!!
Kudos!!!!
Read post 12.....must be for a truck ?
didn't see any reason why, org post just said 'did it 5-6 years ago'
but for what ?
I'll admit, I'm curious. I would have guessed finding a WIDER axle would be a lot easier than widening one. Most axles getting narrowed is to get a heavier, stronger axle to fit in a smaller car. (Or, more tire room!) Going the other way is odd.I don't remember his reason....just built it as he asked.
