Please don't get too personal!

I have a 67 GTX 440, auto, 3:23 8 3/4. I pulled the axles to press new bearings on. AFTER I finished I noticed the splines on the drivers side. At first I thought someone put shorter axles in it, but then a good friend told me that the sure grip is coming apart. It looks like the power is only going through the inner part of the splines in the differential.

I was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with this and what they did. Looking for any info so maybe I can get parts at Carlisle.

Pull it out. If it’s a clutch sure grip, open it up. Look at the splines on the side gear and also the outside one. You should have almost 1 inch of spline engagement with the shaft. Call Dr Diff for replacement parts as needed.
