Rear Suspension ?'s

Slapped bars are not a good idea. They put undue stress on the leaf spring, they do not allow the spring to work properly. As mentioned earlier, if you have room for the screw type pinion snubber, use that and cut loose the springs rear segments straps that hold the leafs together. This allows for more motion as designed.

Adding a clamp to the front segment of the leaf spring is the 3rd step. Start at the middle of the front segment and experiment from there.

Your shocks are a compromise. Swapping streeters out for drag shocks is easy, but a pain depending on track frequency. Adjustable shocks are pricey. But a heck of a lot easier.

This is the way I recommend going about it if your already OK with your tire selection.

Rumblefish360,
As you can see in the earlier pictures the Rancho RS9000 shocks are 9-way adjustable. I purchased the Mancini adjustable pinion snubber with the pin because it looked like it would be easier to modify. I only have five inches from the top of the pinion to the floorpan. I thought if the adjustable snubber is too tall I could cut it down to work with my application. I never really cared for slapper bars to much. If I were not trying to stay with the factory appearance I would probably go with a CalTracs system. I think this will work fine with some earnest testing and tuning.
