what would be a good winch to put in my trailer, maybe a 9000 lb or would that be over kill or a warn winch but to expensive any others. I see arbor freight has them but quility ??? wenching a 70 super bee. Thanks

9000# is overkill for just pulling a car onto a trailer. I've had a couple and found the Superwinch to be pretty darrn nice.
KID

If you trust China made crap, go to Harbor Fright. A buddy of mine bought one after I told him to stay away from there and it lasted 2 pulls. The replacement lasted 3. My Superwinch is 25 years old!

I usually prefer a nice busty wench
Me too!! lol

I purchased a champion 2500LB from cosco 2yrs ago.Still workin like a hot dam.No problems.

i have 2 superwich's and love em. one on my boat trailer and one on my gooseneck flat trailer. 2 cent's:headbang:

Did someone say winch....

I kinda like redheads.....

Superwinch, just double the line with a roller hook and it will last a long time.

Yup. Don't remember what the pull is on mine but it's not exactly a big one and when I need to pull a lot of weight, I do that but by itself, it'll pull a 69 Road Runner with one flat tire up on the trailer :D

You guys a 4000 pound super winch would work ok

Usually don't buy anything powered from harbor freight unless the price is low enough to buy a replacement in a year. I did buy their $70 enclosed 2000# winch when it was on sale for $45. It has done surprisingly well for over 3 years. I even leave it outside, attached to my car dolly, with just a upside-down storage tub covering it.

I have an 8000# Warn Winch on my open deck trailer. helps to have a little extra when pulling a car that has sunk down in the ground from sitting for years

Went out and looked at mine...Superwinch X2, 3000 lb pull. Great winch for the money and if I need more pull, using a snatch block doubles the pulling power but shortens the cable by half if you hook it back at the winch. I see Summit has what I have, model 1208 for 390....I only paid 250 but that was 25 years ago.

I have a worm drive ramsey re8000 on mine. Its awesome. They can be had cheap because they are heavy, and nobody wants them on their 4x4 anymore because they are slow. But for a trailer they're great. They're used on tow trucks too. On tow trucks they just use the winch as the front tie down, and chain the back. I've done the same but always through a second chain or strap on in front just in case.

Im into the jeep thing and will only use a warn. Always believed when it comes to tools you get what you pay for. You can pick up a m8000 with 80ft cable for under 500. Not the cheapest but i have 3 and another on my friends trailor we always haul with. Also havent priced them but a m6000 would suffice. Dont go below the weight of a vehicle. If you pull at hard angles or with flat tires youll find out why. Off roading we use a minimum of twice the vehicle weight due to nature of the sport.

I have been into heavy duty four wheelin for almost 25 years...My scoop is it is better to have too much than not enough...I have a winch on my cruiser and my trailer..They are both warn 8274..T maxx makes a good one and super winch is also good...I perfer warn..
