Going through the door hardware on my 1969 RR and need to get some keys made. I have an original ignition switch, two door locks, trunk lock, and glovebox lock and a key that only fits the ignition! So someone must have had that rekeyed. The rest of the keys are missing.

Is there anyone I can send the lock cylinders to and have them 1. Make a key to fit the original trunk and glovebox locks, and 2. Make a key to fit the door locks and rekey the ignition to match? (Aka a factory style rekey). I have not had good experience with my local locksmiths. Is there anyone that specializes in vintage cars (or even better, Mopars) that would be able to do this?

I would think it would be cheaper to buy new ones. JMO

You can do it yourself. Search FBBO.

You can 85% make any trunk key work in your trunk lock.

...or you can figure the pinout and make a correct key (also for glove box).

Vintage Mopar locks other than ignition are relatively easy to work on.

You may need extra pins, though.

I have never found a 60's or 70's Mopar I couldn't get at least 3 of the 5 to work with just the pins on hand.

Have a look at this thread-

Door locks, trunk locks, ignition locks/cylinders....

Unfortunately a locksmith today is someone who rides around all day with a code scanner and transponder programmer. Tucson had many true skilled locksmiths that have all retired and closed shop.

If you are lucky enough to find a good skilled locksmith you're lucky. Try to keep him in business.

Just buy new cylinders and keys, would likely be less expensive anyway. Year One probably has them, I bought all new keys and locks including ignition from them a few years ago.

At least for my 65, the door, trunk and glovebox uses the same, but different key than the ignition. The ignition key is unique to the ignition switch. You are missing a key. I don’t believe anything was re-keyed.

Sorry - my bad. I stand corrected. Mine is the same. ^^
I had to check - I haven’t used my door locks in so long I forgot what key is used.

Type "locksmith near me" in Google and start making some calls.

I am lucky as there is an old school locksmith near me. Very reasonable to have these things rekeyed if you can find the right shop. That said, they tell me that all the Chineseium tumblers are garbage and are not worth messing with. We always find old oem cylinders to use.

That's what I was thinking as well, stick with original.

Glove box uses wafers.

Not nearly as easy to find or work on as the pins in the other locks.

You can swap them around in order to get a few to work, but you have to un-peen a bunch of fiddly things to get at them and then hope there's enough left to re-peen them back together.
