I am working on a 1969 Roadrunner convertible that i have had for 35 years. Bodywork and paint is done and starting to reassemble.
I am trying to replace he front swaybar support bushings and do not see a way other than cutting and prying apart to install new ones and rewelding.
Bodywork was done at Gallos Restorations in Vineland NJ

I've done it several times and never had to cut the straps. I use a bunch of silicone and squeeze them in with pump pliers.

I will give that a try . I have to get originals out 1st . I thought I could get them off of the bar 1st . But I have not tried yet

Drill some holes into the old bushings and then pry the chunks out.
