Reproduction battery ?

Has anyone seen any repop battery toppers or decal/cap kits?

Try Wescar. They have a website. I use a Wal-Mart Group 27 as a base. I have ordered a bunch of them for myself and friends. I have always been happy with their kits. It won't fool judges at a points match, but for cruise nights and local car shows, it is a nice touch for $$$ spent. About $30, plus battery cost. The Wal-Mart battery has two large flat push-in toppers. Pull them off, and 6 individual holes are revealed. The kit caps simply push into these holes. They also have kits that have caps that glue to flat top batteries. Red, Green, or Yellow colours.

Don't know how they are up your way but the push on caps are getting harder to find. Most manufacturers are going with the smooth top, sealed battery. I wanted a group 24 and couldn't find one with the caps. Last year they were here and there. Should have bought one then. I ended up going with the group 27 a couple of weeks ago so I could use the Wescar kit. I called six different Walmarts and ask them to check their group 24 batteries for caps. None to be found. Probably won't be too long before the 27s go to the newer sealed top.

I have a fake top with green caps...covers the whole battery top.

You guys are missing the fact that he's showing you exactly what he's looking for, for I'd guess a '76 or later vehicle.

Thanks for the tips guys. Yes, I have a 1977 Charger SE, so i'm looking for the newer style vs the ones with the individual round caps. I'll check out WESKCAR too.
