Pulled the valve cover off my car to chase down and intermittent lifter tick. Previous owner caked a ton of silicone onto what looks like a black paper gasket.
It's shredding off in micro pieces and taking forever to clean. Looking to just replace.
They are a generic stamped steel valve cover. It's 3 5/8" tall when measured while sitting flat to the top of the cover.
The measurements of valve covers I'm finding online vary.
Valve train is stock cam is mild. Looks like the uppermost part of the valve train sticks out from the cylinder head approximately 2 1/2 in., or less
The valve covers I'm currently shopping are:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-440350
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g3330
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g3331
Looks like the 3331 is probably the valve cover that came off the car.
Any reason any of the above should not work? Thanks, in advance.
