Think this might be something that would work? For those that want to be listed as someone that would be willing to help or offer services for someone on the road, a list could be made. On this list, services would be listed from just offering a cup of coffee to shelter to a full on access of shop and tools plus labor help from free to normal labor charge. If someone wants to see a model on this, the TDR has a pretty good one all the way down to a small booklet of who is available and where that is sent to members. Just a thought. It doesn't have to be elaborate as the one on the TDR but something that would help forum members would be great imo.

Sounds like a good idea

Emergency help.....

I just had an incident Sunday and was stranded 150 miles from home on a Sunday afternoon.
I posted a distress message on the "A-B-E and C-body dry dock sites and was amazed at the response I received. Had I just waited instead of arrangeing to have my Coronet towed to a "unknown" repair shop I might have saved a couple hundred bucks with the invitations to help I received.

I like the idea of a list, and I would place my services on it. But just posting here is really all a guy needs to do.

Thanks again to everyone.
Will.

Well, if you are ever out somewhere and don't have access to the internet, having a list in your car with numbers and location, and your cell phone is in range of a tower, then you can still contact someone....
