Restore it or Enjoy it ????

You could probably get away with removing the Plymouth decals if you get the car Wet Sanded after. It'll pretty much bring the paint back to it's original lustre if the paint is in good shape it would be worthwhile to either do yourself or have done. The best guy around here that does it would charge about $800 to do the whole car if that gives you a ballpark.

Sorry it's GM but here's my Buddy's Nova as a before and after wet sand just to give you an idea. This way you're not into removing the factory paint

Fix all rust areas, rust proof and drive it. It looks good the way it is. Rust issues are the most costly part of a resto but with some effort it can be slowed down, which will give you many more years of driving it before it needs a resto.

Yep, I'd leave her a survivor and enjoy the hell out of driving her. (I would also 86 the Plymouth decals ...)

Drive that sucker and smile the whole time ! I'm over the restored car crap, Make sure the interior stays dry and go burn some gas. My #'s match '70 340 4/spd swinger is almost perfect and I have gotten very picky when it comes to driving it. It sucks, I definitely do not enjoy it as much as I should be. I'm fixing a few necessary things on my '68 Coronet, complete interior job and on the road she goes. Rain and shine, it will be driven !

I am with everyone else. You have a great car and they are only original once. Heck, it is probably worth more the way it is than restored.

So do some appropriate and minimal maintenance, and then drive it and enjoy it!

I would not wet sand and buff the original metallic enamel paint. The metal flake will flaten out during the sanding process, and you will lose that metallic sparkle. Base/clear....not an issue with metallics because the clear is protecting the metal flake. Solid color enamel car...not an issue either. Enamel metallic....a no no.

On the original question.....drive it.

Drive it! but give those Plymouth decals to Hydrogoon so he can put them on that Dodge "yanko" demon lmao cuz I know he didn't just post pics of the enemy! lmao

There is now way I would ...

....restore that car, drive it as is & rustproof.
