I want to thank everyone for helping me before with advise.

My 69 charger, suspension will not raise up. I have done everything that was suggested to me, and here is where I stand. I have new shocks, used but good conditions big block torsion bars, all new bushing and ball joints. when installing the trosion bar on the driver side I disconnected the upper control arm and dropped it as far as it would go, the lower control are actually hit the K-frame so it would move no furter. the torsion bar was just 1/16 of an inch from going in the hex slot, so it was put back to where it easily fit in. All was reassembled and after all the adjustments were made the car settled out, the adjustment bolt is all the way in on the drivers side and can not be driven in any further, the passenger side is about 3/4" from bottoming out so it still has adjustment to raise the car. I am running 15" wheels with 235 60r15 cooper tires, measuring from the ground to the middle of the fender opening is 25" and will go no higher on the drivers side. The car used to sit really high when I first got it at 26 1/8" I want to have the ride height at 25 1/4" to 25 1/2" any Ideas what could be wrong? car was not wrecked or dropped. Just want suggestions on how to correct this to have adjustment back on the drivers side. Any help is appreciated. thanks in advance guys. Got to keep the old mopar on the road.

First thing that I thought---are you shure the shocks aren't too short , limiting your lower A arm?..............MO

Have you checked to see if either the bolt or holes are stripped out for raising the torsion bars? They should adjust up further than what you have. The quick fix would be to put the spacers in like the factory did in 1969 when they started building the six pack cars that had the larger than previously available G70X15" tires. The spacers are 1/2" but you may be able to put more than one in.

You have to disconnect the shocks AND remove the jounce bumpers. Then the LCA will drop enough to engage the next hex.

I did not know about a spacer option, is there a specific part number? its it reproduced? or just a junkyard find?

it is frustrating, but one guy a couple of years ago did an alignment for me and the car has not been the same since. The adjustabily is there for the passenger side although I have not measured how high that side will go, but the drivers side is still maxed and sits low. I have had this entire front end off or apart 3 times trying all the advise given I have only gained 1/4" in height, I cant help but feel I am missing something obvious and easy. Thanks for the advise again, I will look for the spacers.

O h forgot the lower control arms were disconnected from the shocks and upper control arm per the advise of an old school mopar mechanic, to push them as low as possible. the lower arms hit the k frame just before the bar can slide in. We did everything short of cutting the car.

Left and right specific, plus used ones also like to be installed the same direction front to back they were in too.
