Sad to see so many of the great ones passing. I used to love watching the racing in the 60's and 70's.
RIP Grumpy. Thanks for all the great shows and everything we learned from you.

He was a bit more than just a chevy guy. He was responsible for engineering race parts and cars. Plus he ran a 65 plymouth in s/sa and won the winternationals with it.

Exactly correct, yeah he was a tuner & very good at it too, did it for many teams... MoPars & Chevys, notice on the fender behind the door Prepared By Jenkins Competition, he was all an Icon, tuner, driver & owner, promoter even for a 50 year drag racing career..

Because,..sunday,Sunday,SUNDAY!!!Pro Stocks running side by side down the quarter-mile ..... Ronnie Sox, Dick Landy, Fast Eddie,Bill (Grumpy) Jenkins, the manufacturer's cavalcade of STARS come to town!!:eusa_dance:

Sonny still gets the chills!!!when thinking about events like that! especially the Match Race - NO horsepower output events....pulling gears manually! :3gears:....you cannot understand....unless you were there!

Yes a true ICON in the racing scene and will be missed by all. Even though he drove mostly Chevy's he was still one of my favorites as a kid. RIP Grumpy......
