he guys

i'm planning to do a roadtrip next summer from the netherlands to power big meet in vasteras, Sweden.
the route is going to germany, denmark, sweden. stay there a couple of days at the power big meet and after that going to visit norway and then drive back home. planning on 2 or 3 weeks trip.

im driving a '68 charger with 500cui and 727 transmission 3.55 gears.
driven the car around in the netherlands but never did a roadtrip this far with it.

now i'm looking into or a gearvendor for my 727 to have the overdrive
or swap the 727 for a tremec 5 speed.
to have a lower rpm when cruising the highway. and its a little bit better for my wallet at the gasstations.

like the hear your opinions and experience!!
tips for the tour, about spareparts and such all the information is welcome!!

You may want to consider getting whatever the rendition of AAA (American Automobile Association) you have in Europe. Just in case you run into problems and need a tow or some basic care you're not equipped for.

Youll also want to carry enough basic tools to perform simple maintenance work while on the road. Also some extra oil, brake fluid, a lubricant etc.

Dont pick up any beautiful blonde or otherwise female hitch hikers in Sweden, Norway or Germany. We wouldn't want you driving while distracted......

Judging by the map, you are going downhill all the way, so you should be able to keep it in neutral the whole trip, except at the end where you hook a left. Going across the water might be challenging though.
