I had heard that Rocker Arm Specialties changed ownership or something in the recent past, or something of the sort, and there was some issues with people getting things done in a timely manner during the change. Well, all is great from what I see.

I needed a Hemi shaft rechromed and a few rockers bushed since I could not find the bushings. I talked to Gary and he assured me they could fix the shaft and that they make bushings.

Sent the stuff out a few weeks ago and told them no big hurry. The stuff came back last week and all I can say is I am extremely impressed! First off, I think they made me a new shaft and had it plated because it is almost twice as thick as the original (now .190"). The banana grooves are nice and the end plugs are now thread-in ones. It looks like a Top Fuel shaft!

I told them just install the bushings and I could hone and drill them if it would be easier. Well, they shot blasted the rocker, cleaned the threads, drilled the holes, cut oiling grooves in them and faced the pad for less money than I figured the basic re-bush would cost.

Needless to say, now the rest of my stuff looks nowhere near as nice as the parts they made! I am real tempted to send the rest of the stuff down there and have it all done.

I have a couple more Hemi projects coming up and I look forward to dealing with them again.

Gary is a first rate guy to deal with. A+ service!

Yup. Gary is the original owner. He got the company back, AND relocated. I've been talking to him off and on recently about doing some work on my Isky big block rockers and maybe converting my non adjustable Hemi rockers to adjustable. Gary's back in the saddle for sure. He's top notch too.

Oh and I highly recommend sending him the rest of your stuff. That's an AMERICAN owned and operated business. That's becomming rare these days.

This is all news to me and good to know! I have the same issue with some hemi and BB rockers and might just send them over for rework. Thanks for posting.

The bushings in my other rockers are real nice but the new ones just look awesome. He cuts oiling grooves in the rocker bushing too. I guess after I dyno I'll know if I'm going to stay with the stock ratio. I have some 1.65s as well but they are new.

That rocker shaft he made is a real piece of artwork! I want three more.

And just to let yall know, my buddy Rodney here has had quite a few things done from them. They always did a great job and it was reasonable and fast.......also too I'll note that it's been some time ago back when Gary had the business before it was sold out or transferred or whatever happened so that's why he got good service. Since Gary's back onboard, I'm sure it's just the same or better.
