Ron’s 63 getting some well deserved attention

Have seen that posted,,,,just don't remember if it were here or MOPARTS. Either way it is well deserved!! You would love to see that car in person :usflag:

I'm another "Ron" with a 63 Fury vert having redone this past year to the tune of $35k and endless hours of work on it myself (I wore out a couple sets of cheap kneepads). A whole lot tamer than Ron's though...different league! What is it about luvin the 63/64/65's while the most popular are later 60's to early 70's? My older cousin had a 64 SF he bought new and recall how gorgeous it looked as a 10 year old. And him running thru the PB gears breaking rubber between shifts. The 361 wasn't enough for him and somehow talked his dad into co-signing for a new '64 Dodge 426/4speed. In my limited opinion the '63 was the start of the "muscle car era" for Mopar having been the 1st year of the 426 factory option. There were several motors selected from the 6, 318, 361, 383, and 426? What a range! I go to several car shows a year with a couple of buddies and it's pretty rare to find another '63 in the shows. They weren't keeper cars back when so many went to the crusher. While I'd sure like to have my '70 383 Cuda drop top back, I just can't see parting with the '63.
By the way Ron a truly kick-*** machine you have created! Ron h

Ok...for everyone that likes 1963 cars.....Here is my 1963 Belvedere MAX WEDGE LITEWEIGHT ALUMINUM FRONT END CAR that I bought brand new when I was 21 years old in 1963.
Raced in the true AFX class in NHRA in 1963.

Mike don't suppose you still have the car? Those are worth their weight in gold!

That would be GOLD if he still had the aluminum nose 63 AND the AWB car.I was playin with an AWB hemi last week! So much fun.

Great looking ride...I was noticing I hadn't seen 383man Ron posting for awhile, he's on some other sites I've happened across too..super nice guy and a fast mopar! Very cool to read his backstory as well

Ron hangs out over at Moparts a lot, as do I. Ive found this group over here to be friendlier and less argumentative though. Thanks to all of you guys for that!

I’ve considered Ron’s car to be the epitome of what a street strip car should be for a long time. It’s On the short list of favorites for me, along with Doug’s 64 (DVW) and Malex’s 64. Man, I’d love to own a 63 Dodge or 64 Plymouth myself some day!!

The saying "It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy" really applies here. I've never met Ron in person but he's given me a ton of great advice and encouragement over the years on forums. He's always super positive.

Nice write up, nice car, cool video...

Wow I cant thank you all enough for the kind replies as I really appreciate it. I also want to apologize for not posting here for a long time. My computer is old and I have had a hard time posting on this site as it is just so slow and takes so long. I need to get a good computer person to clean up my computer real good as I think that will help alot. Again I want to thank all of you so much for the kind replies ! Ron
