Here's a pic of the ratty 70 Coronet 440 parts car I grabbed recently. It is only a 318/auto on column car, but it does have AC. It is very complete, missing only the radio. These cars are still out there!

what are your plans? nice find.

No plans, just grabbed it because it has tons of good parts to offer. Someday I may need a 26" core support or a framerail, I won't have to hunt that stuff down. The body is too far gone to fix, at least in a coronet 440. If it was an R/T or Bee maybe, but I won't be fixing this one. I am still on the hunt for a rustfree or nearly rustfree B Body!

Parts car? Heck that's a decent car for resto in my neck of the woods....

Either way...Nice find!!

It would likely need a roof because of the vinyl top. It would also need complete trunk, dutchman panel, both quarters, outer wheelhouses...It is saveable for sure, but personally I wouldn't go that far on a Coronet 440. The surprising part is this car came from Texas! I thought rust was only native to the northeast. lol

Yeah, that's a complete car, ratty my ***! Go look at my GTX for a true definition of ratty!

that would make a good candidate for a clone.take/leave vinyl off make it into a R/T or BEE,or turn it for a little extra cash.

Man, I wish I had that kind of time! I have a 2 year old that I spend a ton of time with, the little time I spend in the garage is going to be spent on the Road Runner I just bought! I grabbed this car to keep around as a donor but if you want to restore it we can talk.

What part of Texas did it come from? Somewhere along the Gulf Coast? I live 9 miles from Galveston Bay and even tho this has been a very dry year, we still get dew nearly every night and during the wet years, it's real heavy due.

Bill , Thats a pretty good lookin Coronet. It would be as shame just to part it out. But it is what is is so just do what you think is right

It's really a lot rougher than it looks. It would need a roof, both quarters, full trunk and extensions, full floorpan and dutchman panel. If somebody wants to take this one on, let me know.
Cranky- Not sure where in Texas it's from, it has Texas tags on the windshield but I bought it from a local guy.

"Ratty Coronet"

Gosh, I'm 58 in December and finally succumbed to the adage: "do it your way"
That 70 Coronet is sweet! Just add a nice disc brake set-up in front, "porky 440 w/ maybe a six-pack" set up? Oh yeah! "Coronets..."the other B body"
Nice find!

If you decide to part it and if it has low back bucket seats, let me know. I am in need of a pair......

I started with about the same or even a little worse..LOL

MoparBill,
Lucky guy! I am in Kalifornia, nothing to be found. Anyway, good "find".
Think you could take a pic of the firewall and the vacum canister location?
No worries if you cant but finding original untouched cars is hard now-a-days!
Merry Christmas!
