Just saw a sport sat / Roadrunner clone on ebay. VIN starts RP23 but it is a post car. Should it not be a hard top ?

Yes it should be a sport satellite hardtop.

No Satellites were built as a post car....but you could get them with just about any combination of parts other than that!

Vin is Hard top. Poster probably confused a different car(?). Maybe ask the seller if there was an error when listing it.
Either way, its a very nice car. Hope it's not a vin swap though.

haven't heard/seen a satellite sedan or sport satellite sedan...(2-door)

Yes thats the car. so I sent him a message about it. He says the owner changed the roof on the car, and he very talented. And you can't even tell. Maybe some one can ask him about the radiator support. My guess is it is not legal.

I'd say its legal. Seller answered honestly regarding the roof swap.
Heck, I've seen homemade convertables. So long as the builder keeps the original vin tags in place & isn't misrepresenting the car, alls good.

Take more than swapping the roof. You would have to add the "B" pillars, swap the door glass, ditch the quarter glass and mechanisms, swap that glass, and add the window latches. I'm probably leaving some stuff out as well
