Hey Guys,

Help!? I have a 1964 Savoy in what I thought to be Ruby Red PP1 paint. However, every touch up paint I buy or mix, etc. as Ruby Red PP1 is too red too dark. My paint is more of an orange hue as opposed to Red. It is a beautiful color and I see it a

lot on 63 and 64 Dodges and Plymouth's. It is not the Ruby Red I see on the 65's which is certainly a much more Red color.

Any help is greatly appreciated as paint matching for chips, wheels, etc. is literally driving me nuts!

Please help!

Jeff

I know it does! Why cant I match this paint!!! LOL! Tire store ruined one of my steel wheels and I cant match this paint to save my life! Have you ever ordered or mixed touch up paint for yours?

Not an expert, but FP1. Saw one at car show & think that was code on fender plate. Or FF1?

Bring the wheel to a body shop paint supplier. They can shoot it with their color gun and get a near perfect match.

Mike, Nice to hear from you buddy. Appreciate the reply. I already did that once and it turned out redder than the touch up paint i ordered (two different suppliers!). Once i figure this out ill keep everyone posted! Thanks again. I'm now thinking toreador red?

Viper red? My '63 looks about the same shade, not the original color.
