Rules Of The Road???

James Taylor...are you shitting me???
My crack-whore-baby-sister did what with (???) with him for awhile.:cursin:

Who give's a damn.

Thought this thread was about pile of crap drivers out there...or, ya wanna talk about the one I threatened to bury in the desert one day.:icon_fU:

When I took a driving test portion of CDL, the instructor gave me a forewarning: not using signals or leaving signals on causing another driver to be inconvenienced was an auto fail

That has stuck with me, I hate people who dont signal. Be it car, pickup, 18 wheel, motorcycle, tractor, combine or ******* bicycle. Use your ******* signals! If you havent signsls use your hands then!

If I was a LEO Id be pulling people over right & left for this and writing them fines.. No warnings, maybe mace or nightstick though. USE YOUR ******* TURN SIGNALS!

Not to pick on IL drivers; but driving around Chi-town I seem to seldom find people using their turn signals. The IL Tollway reminds me of a race track as not unusual to find some incredible high speeds. I got behind a little convoy to see how fast they were going and it was around 100mph...Audi's, Beemers, Benz, etc. In a client meeting where there was a group from Chicago, I started out asking if their cars have the lever thing on the left side of their steering column. I got some odd stares; I continued saying I was just curious as I rarely find drivers from your area using their signals and wondered if maybe cars around Chicago didn't come with blinkers. I got a couple pissy looks then laughed it off.

Your too close to Chicago.

The rest of Illinois is a good place full of normal people.

I guess some asshole in engineering is working right now on a mind-reading device so that vehicles will anticipate our moves and know when to signal for us. Robots and computers are slowly (maybe not so slowly) taking over our universe. The beginning of the end was software to parallel park for "us".

Ya get around big cities and the traffic people deal with constantly suppose they get cut off and such all the time then say **** it no more nice guy; it's a battle with every commute. Glad I rarely deal with it anymore.

Next moron who uses their windshield washers when I'm following them is going to get passed and I'm going to empty my whole bottle in front of them! Asswipes!

That's not half as bad as passing a livestock truck on a motorcycle and getting showered in pee-pee.

Lol, Or poop...

Well guys, we have a common misery to say the least. I know I've pissed people off unintentionally and have got real pissed at others who also pulled some **** unintentionally. A buddy of mine who drove like a maniac years back has seriously changed his habits. One time riding with him as he's yacking away, he was so friggin close behind a car ahead I had to ask him "You trying to draft the guy in front to save gas"? He was confused for a sec then realized he was tailgating backing off quickly. He replied something like "Geez, never gave it a thought". I took that as a lesson as I usually took it as a personal affront when people tailgate or do stupid driving stunts. Anyway, many seem to have a short fuse and I've found it more relaxing to avoid getting pissed off as much as I used to. Ok, yeah no BS guys, still get peeved; just not as often as I used to and find it an achievement cuz it's only gonna keep happening anyway and like keeping my heart rate down...

Can't drive anywhere without someone doing something stupid/dangerous at close proximity. Best thing to do is to remember it is bound to happen at least once before you reach your destination and be prepared to laugh it off because you knew it was going to happen anyway.

I remember my dad who was always a real calm guy (I took more after my mother having a quicker temper) telling me "When you lose your cool pal, you lose". As posted earlier, I'm hoping some of his DNA has finally set in. lol

Let's not forget, cars are all computerized now with touch screens for every thing you want to do (other than steering, gas and brake pedals), so everybody is taking their eyes off the road constantly, if that isn't bad enough we have cell phones, which of course must be in use while driving, to text or call because it is so important that it can't wait.....but now we have an even more dangerous situation with the marijuana legalization sweeping the nation!!!! We have distracted, stoned idiots behind the wheel in the vehicle next to us......BE CAREFUL!

I have been wondering about this as I do forklift and mobile equipment operator training as part of my job. I've read that this drug affects depth perception...not exactly the kind a dilemma to have operating a crane or hoisting a pallet up into high-rack storage and the stuff stays in the body for days...

yesterday morning im driving down to dansville 2 towns over to reup on oxy,
its raining but visibility is good im headed down the hill following a truck at a safe distance and from a side road this jackoff in a small car waits till the truck goes by and pulls Directly out in front of me.
im doing 50-55 going down a hill in the rain !

me,the dog,and the truck eat the ditch,i manage to keep it upright and then bounce back out,
and im laying on the horn and wishing i had one of those Train horns.
the driver swerves off down the road and then drives super slow down into town...
i take a few pictures of this ...persons car and as they turn off,
i stop in the road and try to get a pic of the person looking in their sideview mirror.
i still have no idea if it was a man or a woman, but it surely was a complete moron either way.

the only amusing part, there was another truck waiting behind the car at that side road,
he saw the whole thing and then followed us into town, albeit at a distance.
he also stopped and waited patiently lol as i stopped right in the middle of main street and took pics of that other driver turning off.

When someone cannot comprehend how this works, how can you expect them to be able to get their head out of their a** long enough to point their car down the road safely?
