Any suggestions on who to use or a rough cost to ship a running car from Syracuse, NY to Phoenix, AZ? Was thinking of flying to Syr and driving back with my son, but by the time I buy two plane tickets, hotels and gas it may be cheaper to ship? Thxs!

I shipped 2 vehicles from Reno to the Mid-west for just under 7K late last year, just sayin! I used Reliable.

I had my roadrunner shipped from Missouri to Ohio for 750 bucks

the biggest price difference will be whether you are going with an open trailer or enclosed. Enclosed is much more expensive, but well worth it if the car is in nice shape or better. I would hazard to guess that at a minimum you are looking at 1500-2000 bucks.

that is only about 25% of the trip he is making, unless you are talking from the western border of Missouri to the eastern border of Ohio. Then it is about 50%

Logical logistics is really good and enclosed

Computer says about 2500 miles total. Did just update the math in my head for the better. Originally I was thinking of round trip ticket costs when obviously I only need um one way, DA? Car is a 4 cylinder turbo AWD CTS. I think it would get 20-22 mpgs. What would be a good guess across the country on average gas cost, 5-5.50 per gallon range?

When are you going ? Sounds to me that if it is a driveable car, then just hire someone to drive it there. Much cheaper in the long run. I will be doing this for a friend in December. Driving their 3rd car to Oklahoma.

I’ve used Gartho Logistics twice in the last year from southern and central California to Chicago. Just did an open trailer both times it was right around 1800 each time. On
My 67 R/T he picked it up around 6 PM on a Saturday, called me Monday to see if a late night delivery would be ok, and showed up at 2AM on Tuesday morning. He must have driven straight through! Both times went without a hitch and both cars arrived in great shape

Highly recommend enclosed trailer - Innercity Transport. They don't use brokers or contract drivers. The drivers are all employees and very communicative on the journey. I've used them twice. Mpls to Los Angeles - a smidge over $1800 each time. I was well satisfied each time and would be my go to If needed again.

I was just trying to give him a idea thats all I know it's not the distance of his but just a idea

It is okay ! I just didn't want him thinking he could move a car cross country for under 1K

I used Passport Transport from Cinn Oh to Tucson Az. in Oct 2020 and it was 1800 door to door.

I would use them again no worries

Thxs for all the feedback. Weighing my options now. Son said he's up for the trip. We'll see...
