hi,,,im EYEBALLING a car on ebagg. should i buy this car i will need to ship it here to my house.

im looking for a good reputable carrier that WONT destroy the car on its way here. if you have any that you have used in the past . i would love to know about them...thanx guyz!:headbang:

Reliable is awesome and I can recommend them 100%. They are a little more expensive than some others, but I think you get what you pay for.

One choice you can make is an enclosed versus open trailer. The open trailer is always less expensive but more prone to weather and random damage. I do not believe Reliable has any open carriers, but they are out there if you are looking to save some money.

Reliable Transport...we used them to haul our 1966 Malibu from Arizona to Washington state...very nice people to deal with and spot on in dealing with us...smooth transaction and better yet a smooth delivery of our Malibu...Marla

auto transport

I've had several cars transported, all with good results. Google "auto transporters" and you will be able to get 7-10 quotes right away, both closed and open transporters. Closed is always more expensive and Reliable is at the top of the heap in price..... But excellent service.

A nice driver quality car is fine on an open transporter. Choose a bonded carrier. Most quotes will go through a broker who....once arraingements are made.... will collect a fee. The carrier collects upon delivery. NEVER pay a carrier fee up front...! Also be sure you have a driver contact number so you can track you vehicle at any giving time. I always verify that the vehicle will be delivered by the truck and driver who picks it up....no relays.

The vehicle will be inspected upon pickup with the seller present and again when delivered to you. Any problems should be addressed then. Communication with all involved is a big plus.

You can generally negotiate the price but be wary of lowball quotes.

Hope this helps..... Good luck

I used Reliable Transport to bring a 69 Cuda 383 formula S back from Indy Nat. Event NHRA race... My trailer was full with my cars & other swap meet stuff, so I had to ship it, or drive all the way back to get it, The funny thing when the 69 Cuda got to my house in Concord Ca., he had a check list of damage to document what was wrong before it went on his trailer, it was wraped in plastic, seats covered with plastic, floors covered with thick paper mats, steering wheel was wrapped, car was tied down very well & a large truck tubes inflated under it, the driver was affraid, the tires wouldn't hold air for the long trip from Indy to Calif., the attention to detail was like it was a $100K+ show car, it was a total $1500 beater, I bought for a race car project, rusted floors, ragged out carpeting, rotted interior, wheather checked tires, locked up engine, etc., I was very impressed, their cost was competitive with others, I checked at the time & it was all inclusive the others charged extra for everything... I don't remember how much per/mile now, but it was cheaper than what I could have hauled it back for.... It took me 3 days to get home he arrive the next morning, he had 3 cars total in the inclosed trailer, mine was 1st off, went over it to make sure there wasn't any added damage, I was laughing the whole time, he was very professional, I gave the guy a $20 said have lunch on me...

Can any body say road trip.when I bought my car I was going to have it shipped until I read all of the reviews on the shipping companys and got nervous about the car being damaged and also they said it could take up to 20 days.So I borrowed a trailer from a freind and he went with me 495 miles one way to pick up my car, left at 1:00am on a Friday and got back at 3:30am on Saturday.i drove most of the way I was so pumped up i wasnt even tired after being up for 26 hours, the trip cost me about 650.00 in gas but it was worth it.I could have come home with an empty trailer to since i agreed to buy the car with out seeing it in person. How many miles is it from where you live to where the car is,my experiance was good, just make sure you have a trailer that is in good shape, the one I used was only 1 year old.good luck.

The problem is that you don't KNOW who the actual shipping company is unless you deal direct with on of the big transport companies that own their own truck until after you place the order with the brokers that come up on the internet searches. They are just brokers often sitting at home in their underwear just like you when you place an order with them.

im in Pittsburgh and the car is in Louisiana...pertty far...too far to drive....i got quoted $903.00 to have it delivered to my house. not too bad but i cant remember who quoted it. i did it just to get a price online.

All things considered Gas what it is, insurance, $903.00 doesn't sound terribly outrages.. To sit back relax and wait for it..
