Dude...what brought that on? Nobody has picked on you other than dd making a bit of fun about the redline on the tach.

You asked, we've given some pretty good answers.

Not picking, but merely a suggestion. If you punctuate and use capital letters your posts will be easier to read.

was not me it was the boy that I gave the car to told him to come here for some help I am out of the mopar i will tell the boy to tell you all sorry he is a kid look over him hope you all will help him

I am the boy that has the car I am sorry for getting on barber33 member and tell you this I knew all about the car and and it was on the farm I made it look like it was him on here he told me to say that I am sorry and see how old you got to be to be a member most are 18 and I am 14 I was happy to get the car and it was free to me I got out of hand

There isn't any age limit, and you don't have to own a car to be on here. The only "requirement" is that you dig Mopar B bodies....or just Mopars in general.

No harm...no foul

The car is close to disappearing in a cloud of Rust. If you are not going to fix it, and soon, it's worthless to you. Sell it to someone who would actually restore it and save another classic from extinction.

The buyer would have to be someone with some serious resources to get that car back in shape again.

Ask for more and take the money and run. I listed the work in my head, as I went through the pictures, and I got an ice cream headache. That Satellite looks like it holds some promise though.

Having just replaced all but 5 (five!!!) pieces of metal on a 70 GTX I KNOW how much it will take just to get the metal replaced on that car, and that does not count the body/filler/blocking time to make it straight after that!.
If you have someone offering you 3500 I would take it RIGHT NOW!!

:personally I would strip it and sell the parts, you'll make way more but it takes a bit more work.

4spd with A/C has to be kind of rare isn't it? Also green with saddle interior is different as well. Does need alot of work. The question you have to ask yourself is what can you do with that 3500.00. Will it restore another project? You won't be able to get another Road Runner any better for that money. What I'm getting at is if you sell it the chances of you finding the funds to get another one are gonna be tough. That's if you're anything like me,wife,2 kids, mortgage, etc. My .02

I am curious what are you going to do with it?

If you are parting it out, I am in TN and might make the trip to look and offer. PM me if you are.

If you are selling it whole, good luck. Very few people would tackle that project. I would (and I am right now), but I can only do two cars at a time. If you still have it in a few years, I may look you up.

Good luck either way.

Randy

People talk big when they dont have to do it to your face. I said nothing i wouldnt say to you in person.

I've Media Blasted a lot of cars that look like this, so I can pretty much tell how it will look after it's done being Blasted thanks to the great pics. For 3500.00 it's a good deal, not much more, anything over 4K is getting greedy, perhaps you can score it to the right person, but, to the avg working guy, not much more than that. A good rule of thumb is about double the metal replacement that is obvious; floors, qtrs. The doors looked ok; workable. The Fenders look savable (remember my GTX fenders)? The big thing is getting it on a rotisserie and getting rid of the obvious bad metal, then, start Media Blasting it -- all of it! The trunk gutter seams looked very good (from what I could see) and this is a always a tell-tale sign of the integrity of the lower part of the car.

I didn't see a pic of the fender tag; meaning what it was born with; options etc. that would make it more or less valuable; and whether or not person A or person B would take this car on. I can tell you, that I would take this car on, my GTX was far, far worse than this car.

I even think that if someone waved 3K at this seller, he'd take it! How's the title, that's always a little bugger in the end to nail down.

The bottom line is that you will end up with more in it to repair to a respectable running driver than it is worth. Unless you can do all of the work yourself and don't value your time. If you do this work for a living then if you are in the car right it is like buying yourself a job that you will have to sell it in order to get paid for. The market is not only soft but few are buying at the soft prices.

If you have other projects that the money could be better spent on that are keepers then you may want to sell it now.

Sell it!! If you have the time and money to restore it, it will be extremaly expensive.

If you can get 3500 for it,grab it and run don't walk! You will have close to another 3000 in just sheetmetal! not figuring in labor to install, the a pillar is really a job,if it was a 6pak,hemi. That would be a deal

Every build/rebuild starts somewhere, i think the $3500.00 is a fair asking price and in the right hands this car could be one more that escaped the crusher.

Alot of times building these cars is more about a passion and less about money unless your in the business and want to restore and make a profit.

I'm having trouble reading barber33's posts, but I think the nature of this thread has changed. I think it was originally posted by barber33 (a man) to see how much he could get for selling it... 3500 seems to be the general consensus. I think he ended up giving it to a boy, who is now posting as barber33 as well. So, to recap: barber33 (man) gave the car to barber33 (boy) for free and now no one is selling and the car is sitting... Am I right?

Yes, it looks that way to me. I don't know if the current owner would be interested in selling or not.
