Ok this is a MSD setup I got many years ago with an engine that I just installed in my car. It is old but was told it was in working order at the time. This would go in my 1968 Superbee 383

The problem is I do not know how to wire this thing up. If anyone has this or knows how to wire this up could you help me out here? I think I have to bypass the ballast but do I just jump those connectios together and what wire go where. Hope this is not confusing and thanks for any help. Jim

I just noticed that the wires on the hyfire match the ones on the dist. so I am guessing those go together but they were cut and not attched to each other. So I know there is more to it. Ok stopping now and again thanks

I've never run the hyfire but I have the unilite in my boat and it runs just fine. However, I do keep a complete single point distributor with me at all times because I have had them die. The key thing is to make sure those components, including the coil, are compatible. I have no idea why mine died with a stock coil

Looking at the notes on the back of the CD box it appears that the coil is fired from that and the unilite in the distributor only does low current switching. I think this will help you hook it up.

Man I had MSD stuck in my head for some reason but it is Mallory. Can I just run the Dist. by itself without the coil and hyfire and just leave the rest of my wiring alone? If so that will work for me I will just have to figure out the three wires to hook it up.

You can run the Unilite by itself but make sure you use a compatible coil or you will burn out the module.
