Hello Mopar fans! I purchase my 1972 Rallye Charger in 1982 as I needed a car for transportation to and from college. My father allowed me to own it as 2 out of 3 of my brothers already owned mopars, and my great uncle was a lifetime Chrysler mechanic. I’m pretty lucky!
The Charger served me well and was parked in 1987. I began a full restoration 12 years ago. I performed the entire project myself and with a ton of help and support from my wife, family and friends.
A good high school friend of mine purchased a 1971 R/T 440 with only 29K around the same time. When he took me for a ride I was floored by the performance of the big block! So when it came time for my new drivetrain, I tracked down and transplanted an entire 1971 HP 440 drivetrain into my 1972 Charger!
We’re getting so excited; we’ve had a few fun and successful trips around the block and are buttoning up a bunch of things to complete my “Since 17” Charger (yep, my license plate says SINCE 17).
I look forward to being a part of B Bodies Only and thanks for having me!

Welcome to FBBO from NY.
What a great story to go with your car.
And congratulations on seeing the restoration through to the end

What's the story behind the Roadrunner you posted there?

Hi! That is one of my older brother’s ‘73 340 4 speed Road Runner that he also kept since high school! Glad we hung on to them! Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome. Where in PA?
Hello! We’re south central PA, so we are only 30 minutes from Chryslers at Carlisle , so if anyone is heading to the show this summer, give a heads up, perhaps we’ll see you there!

Welcome! Your story sounds very familiar, but you started 4 years before me (1986 for me) and were a year younger (18 for me) when I bought my first "high school car", my '70 Charger. Very cool that we both kept them, even after decades of parking them, after all these years.
