Hello Mopar fans! I purchase my 1972 Rallye Charger in 1982 as I needed a car for transportation to and from college. My father allowed me to own it as 2 out of 3 of my brothers already owned mopars, and my great uncle was a lifetime Chrysler mechanic. I’m pretty lucky!
The Charger served me well and was parked in 1987. I began a full restoration 12 years ago. I performed the entire project myself and with a ton of help and support from my wife, family and friends.
A good high school friend of mine purchased a 1971 R/T 440 with only 29K around the same time. When he took me for a ride I was floored by the performance of the big block! So when it came time for my new drivetrain, I tracked down and transplanted an entire 1971 HP 440 drivetrain into my 1972 Charger!
We’re getting so excited; we’ve had a few fun and successful trips around the block and are buttoning up a bunch of things to complete my “Since 17” Charger (yep, my license plate says SINCE 17).
I look forward to being a part of B Bodies Only and thanks for having me!
