When I said 'shows of his' I meant Tim's shows....was Tim Allen on DoH before? And don't remember watching TJ Hooker. There was a time when I didn't watch much TV and may have missed it or didn't tune in to that show...

Today somewhat reminds me of, like "a Soap Opera"
my Mom used to watch regularly, "the young & restless"
not a sit com, I hated them soaps/too0 much drama,
I stayed outside usually...
I couldn't wait to watch RR & Coyote, The Bannan Splits or Speed Racer (?)
usually shortly after coming home from school...
Then back outside till I had to come in at dark, riding my Schwinn bike a lot...

I hate 'Suck Operas' too.....the wife likes the 'Mold and the Old' and I'll watch it if it's recorded so I can FF through the crap that's rehashed over and over and she'll laugh at most of it because I'm cracking jokes through most of it!

I enjoyed Blue Bloods. Apparently paying all those actors that much money got expensive per episode. What do I always say, it's always about the money!!

I really like Tom Selleck in his Magnum PI & his westerns/movies,
the newer Magnum (several nobodies starred) wasn't as good, but I did like it...

Same thing $$$ killed a lot of great sitcoms,
actors get too famous & want way too much to continue...
Strike out on their own & some make, most don't, fade away into obscurity...
They need that supporting cast to make them shine...

or outright greed

Yellowstone is another, show I had to see each week,
DVR'd so I wouldn't ever miss an episode...
It's not a sitcom, had some funny moments
but more about the Montana ranchers struggles, his enemies or demons/history
his family inner circles or fight with Indian's that wanted his land
& other corrupted entities, that seemingly just wanted him, his family dead,
the ranch bankrupted or burned...
I can't stand Kevin Costner now, after his lame *** endorsements
& leaving us all hanging...

Supposed to be spin offs, continuations or more prequels,
all on pay to play sites/apps/streaming...
I'm not doing that crap...

Better call Saul, Breaking Bad, not really sitcoms
I liked both & faithfully followed... on AMC

I think it was the opening & the dune buggies that drew me in
Jan Michael Vincent was a young upcoming/athletic star too...
