I was working on my 70 charger and had it jacked up on the drivers side only to mess with the headers, I used the k frame, the thick flat spot right in front of the rear spring perch, and what looks like a cross member body support that goes the entire side to side about 2 1/2 feet after the front spring perch (looking from the rear)
now it sits leaning towards the drivers side, did I twist the frame? Now I'm sh*tting bricks worried I f'd up the frame.

Thanks

if you jacked up one side,,,,and didnt move the car .....the torsion bar on that side did not relax. roll the car back and forth a few times and it will settle in. you did not twist the frame because these cars do not have frames......they a uni-body construction.

Anytime you jack up only one side, the camber changes and will make the car sit unlevel until you move it and give the suspension a chance to relax back into shape. It's normal.

if we could twist a frame by jacking it up wrong i would not be driving these cars.i am not belittling you in any way,but what would happen in an accident if you could twist the car by lifting it.:eusa_think:

uneven

Thanks, load off my mind!

I know the unibody thing, and thats the main reason I was worried about that because of they're not the strongest design and can flex a little.

LOL @ 67 coronet I was thinking the same thing.

I remember when I was 20 I pulled on the side of the road to make a uie hit a big rock hidden in the weeds it rolled the car up on the k frame LOL

Actually, because of how they are constructed, the Chrysler unibody is considerable stronger than their full framed counterparts. That was a big selling point. ....and it was and is still correct.
