Snow in the Houston area.....

7.2 inches in Pensacola FL.

9-10” in Pensacola at my house, on Bayou Chico and it snowed for 1 1/2 hours pretty hard before any stuck. 19 degrees last night supposed to be 21 tonight. Miserable, last time they had snow here was 93.

I learned today that Georgia uses that infernal brine solution on the roadways. :mob:

Also, they're using a 3:1 ratio of small gravel and salt on some roads.
Thank god, they outlawed mainly blanketed brine & especially NO salted roads here Calif.
albeit brine is salty

Mostly a mix ash, pumice & sand
some 'brine' now it seems, (not sure what that means, according to CalTrans)
"in severe storms/conditions",
mainly at higher elevations, passes going over like hwy-50 & I-80 summits,
where big rigs travel, get stuck a lot
but "allegedly" mostly non corrosive mixes,
the dry mixes no salt is about all they use here, on less traveled rds or hwys

Just flurries right now but the weather guessers are predicting 5" in my area. Was surprised when the showed the history of snow in Houston with the record being 20" back a long time ago. The graphic shows for 2" or more and back in 73 was the last time for that amount. It's snowed several more times but only got about an inch in most places. Anyways, I'll be surprised if it lays down 5" plus it's not going to stay for long since the temps haven't made the ground cold enough yet to keep it from melting off.

Another one is supposed to sweep across and affect Houston, Texas; Louisiana; Atlanta, Georgia; and Charleston, South Carolina; and all points in between.
