So F#'n Tired of WINTER!!!! 2014

tumblr_nvanozv4DD1tljcgzo1_1280.jpg

I for one cant wait for winter........more importantly, WATER!

Winter is when I do all the work on my cars.

El Nino is here & at our doorsteps

Were getting dumped on here, like the northeast was last year,
were supposed to get 15" of rain in NorCal in a 16 day period,
that's normally most of the rainfall we get all winter...
We just got another about 2' of snow overnight upcountry...

Snow baby snow, even if I hate shoveling all the crap...
It messes everything up constantly too, unfortunately now
I see yet another year spending most all my car funds,
again on necessary maintenance/house stuff next spring & summer...

Supposedly/Allegedly;
Were on pace to have 15'-18' total this year is what all the
lame "hot chick" weather prognosticators are saying
{most their estimates are wrong more, than they're right it seems}...

I saw yesterday on the weather channel
"this weeks storms alone" allegedly were already @ 107% of normal
for water content/snow levels for the whole year now...
Now if the water management people can actually do the right thing & collect/save water,
properly, not by some lame political or over the top environmental std...

We really need it, as much as I hate it, It's a necessity we can't do without...

Farmers & ranchers are loving it too...

Our streams, creeks, rivers, lakes & reservoirs drastically need it too....

Our Fish & Fowl are all loving it too...

Ski resorts are working at full capacity, all runs open, making big $$$$,
good for our tourism & economy...

I still can't wait tell spring, summer & fall thou...LOL

PITA drying my water dog off every time he comes in too,
he sure loves the snow & loves the rain puddles too...LOL

I don't know what everyone is squawking about. Oh you mean that white stuff that kept falling out of the sky when I was on vacation in Minnesota during the holidays? Weather was mostly in the teens and low 20s.

Now im back to my reality - high 60s on a chilly day. But it does get cold at night - down as low as mid 40s. Believe it or not ever even gotten a few days of rain to kick off the new year. Badly needed moisture...... Yeah winter is a tough season...

this is the time to get the car ready to roll in the spring for us in the cold zone. we have heat in the garage, but then comes the gas bill for that!

Yea, we got dumped on! Getting too old for this $hit!

Les Nessman reported the breaking news:

Up here in MA, we were supposed to get 1-3", but of course the weather babes were wrong; we got 5". :angryfire:

Got nothing here in Mid-Mich over the weekend. I see it hit 40 today.

I put a new insulated garage door on a couple years ago and put a layer of rollout insulation above the garage in the attic and it's helped. Still gets near freezing sometimes though. I need to get the outside walls insulated though. I'm hoping to turn on a couple electric heaters this weekend and get out there and work on the Coronet.

ahhh!!it was 62 here and had the 65 on for more shake down cruises today. I'm glad I moved to TX. 4 yrs. ago to get out of the cold and snow!! you can drive your car damn near year round. I don't miss NY State!!!! $1.49.00 a gal for 87 oct. down here.
