So F#'n Tired of WINTER!!!! 2014

Green shoots of spring flowers pushing up at my place. Although I haven't seen any snow on the ground yet this winter, the forecast says it might get cold next week so we'll see.

Have had the RED Warning screen on our weather network for a couple of days now. Those people are too bloody dramatic, and the problem with that, is the old crying wolf story. You loose faith in these people, when you batten down the hatches every time, they scream storm, and nothing severe happens.... However, they are predicting a good constant 36 hours of snowfall...oh yeah, and a couple of hours of freezing rain to boot.
Hmmmmm, Well, sometimes they do get it right... I'll keep ya posted, going to plug the tractor in.

The evening news yesterday had to find three accidents to show how bad it was across the efected states. You think they never saw snow before. And these states are known for harsh winters.

It's too dang cold in the garage to work with temps below ZERO outside!!!!

Snow is expected with winter, and can be dealt with. HOWEVER, ICE ,and FREEZING RAIN....That's a whole other animal, no matter where you live! SUCKS!!

I have used over 30+.... 50 pound bags of salt so far, just because of the ice on my 330 foot hill! I've got 34 bags left. Hoping that this will be enough to finish out winter. You really never know how much you need, from year to year!

Yep, ice sucks. We've been lucky with the last couple of "snow turning to freezing rain" events, that the pavement still had a little heat stored in it and the temps always got above freezing the next day. Same thing suppose to happen tomorrow. Calling for 50* ! Comon Spring!

Believe me I know we have no right to bitch about the winter weather given what everyone else is going thru - but - I’m so sick of this f Ing rain and cold weather. This has been the coldest and rainiest winter I’ve ever experienced in CA in the 28 years I’ve lived here. It’s raining 4 days a week and cold every day. I’m from Minnesota so it’s not like I don’t have any balls but geez we don’t pay these kind of taxes and high prices for this ****........ rant over
