Cooling of from the heat wave we are having here in the South West and Cali...103 degrees and climbing... and thought I would post up what I have been doing for the last few weeks with my 66 Ply Sat Project. I had to pull the first Motor from the car as it never ran right from the start. Picked up a short block and swapped out parts from the first Motor to the new short block. When I pulled the first Motor the temp was 108 degrees that day. Yesterday it was 106 degrees in the garage and this is what I have accomplished so far. The first Motor is the one in the pics with the stock valve covers. Don't know what I will do with it other than after the second/short block Motor is put in I will at some point tear down the first one and inspect it further. This time a round I have been talking very careful steps in putting it together and making sure that it is done using the building manuals and references that I have. It is coming together nicely. Enjoy the pics...cr8crshr/Tuck:blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1:
Last pic is the first Motor. I primed the new one with rust primer and then shot it with VHT SP126 MOPAR Turquoise. Although it isn't the correct hue and tint as the original, I just like the depth it has over the original. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so I can actually say that being somewhat partial as I am. I really hope that this time I got this project fixed as it has now turned out to be more of a money pit than an interesting drivable cruiser. But I keep moving forward so at least I am attempting to "Get Er Done!!!!
