So my new oil pan is wrong...

Speedway has sent me emails oTheyn several parts to answer customer questions on a part that I had purchased.

So probably someone is giving bad advice, not necessarily someone on speedway staff.

But I haven't bought a sb pan so it wasn't me! LOL
They said the staff would look things over and decide.

No biggie....but I'd like them to get it right so the next guy gets the correct part

Make sure they know you’re dealing with an LA and not a magnum. Magnums use one pan and LA have 2 pans. Likely whoever is saying they are the same thinks Mopar on made magnum engines.
Travis..

Been awhile since dealing with Speedway but over the years, they have been good to me.....

They don't list a Magnum pan afaik...

I have a hunch they have 360 pans in every box. The Chinese supplier likely is clueless...

UPDATE....

I have never had so much fun ordering online...

So I asked for a return label from Speedway so I can return their oil pan... got it.

I ordered a new pan from Mancini. No issues EXCEPT they are sending TWO !!!

WTF?...

Not even a full moon...

Anywho I've given up...I'll just keep the extra one as I have a hot 340 project in the plans for next year... that deal will need a pan.

If I live that long.

Sending two is okay, as long as they don't charge you for two.
Did you by accident have 2 in your cart?
So far, my dealings with Speedway have been positive.
Bought a carb "kit" from them. For an extra thirty bucks or so, they included an aircleaner, fuel log, and 1 1/2 fuel pressure gauge with my 850 brawler.
Checked on the part # for the fuel log, they were asking almost $100 for it separately.

Got billed for two...luckily I'm rich right now since I'm back to work PT.

Speedway has been ok...bought from them 40 years ago..b. if you ever pass thru Lincoln, NE they have an awesome engine display in their museum.

Speedy Bill was quite a collector.

UPDATE!!!!!

My oil pan horror show is over...

Sorta...

Buster Brown delivered my new oil pan (s) that I ordered from Mancini.

I guess I ordered two...by mistake. But I have a 340 sitting in the corner waiting to be repaired and rebuilt. It will need a pan, too.

I hope to do a video on this pan deal this week... 413 Mopar @jalopy technology on YouTube.

Film at 11...
