SoCal full of old Mopars, but where?

I'll be honest, i'm a little disappointed in the amount of cars and parts that i've been able to locate, living just a couple hours north of LA. I thought California was supposed to be full of old cars. Don't get me wrong, i've met some really great people since i've been here. And i have seen some impressive cars. But where's the "mythical" classic car grave yard?

Personally, I'm after '66 and '67 Belvedere, Satellite, GTX parts. Anything really, but specifically, an 8 3/4 rear. And of course, i don't mind driving a couple hours to grab stuff. And i'm just looking for stuff that fits. Not concerned with #'s.

Let me know if you guys can think of any old Mopars in salvage yards in Southern California. Or maybe somebody with a pile of parts in their backyard. I'm always happy to meet new people.

I have 66 Ply Sat parts. Let me know what you are looking for besides the rear end you initially stated you needed or would like to have. I have tons of trim stuff, headlight bezels, front hood trim, grills, door kink panels, turn signal units...less plastic lenses but in real good condition, trunk panels, rear turn signals, rear light frames and lenses, and a lot more. I need to get rid of a lot of this stuff....cr8crshr/Tuck

Memory Lane is down your way in LA area, I've seen them on TV a bunch of times, never used them personally they are a big salvage yard {Did you try to GOOGLE search for wrecking or salvage yards, I'm sure there out there} , I don't really know about the availability of MOPAR parts stuff in the LA area though, I'm in Northern Calif foothills, I would think most any salvage yard that has some older cars, should have an 8-3/4" rear end/axle, they came in a ton of cars & trucks 4drs & 2drs alike.... What is it you want or need ?, somebody around/on here will probably have it for a decent price...

There is a nice Mopar-only salvage yard over in Phelan, but he doesn't advertise. I'll see if I can find his #.

Well thanks guys. '67Charger, i'm just north of you in California City so anywhere you can go i certainly can. Poppasmurf, i'm in that general area, so if you can find the numbers that would be awesome. And i'm just a few hours from Lompoc, HitIt, so if the guy has a lot of stuff, i wouldn't think twice about making the drive.

Memory Lane is long gone. There's a place down around San Diego in Spring Valley called Sweetwater Auto Wrecking. It's a Mopar only yard.

This reminds me of my area here, have to be some somewhere. I think cash for clunkers was the downfall of many talking to the owner of one of the biggest and oldest yards here.
