Sonic checking in SE Michigan.

The machines are cheap (At least the Chinese E Bay ones) and
work decently. Probably cheaper than having a shop do a single check.

I bought a $139 sonic tester off Amazon, tested it on several different metals, made a custom calibration for cast iron, rounded the sensor head slightly to fit flatter on a round surface, and I found it to be very accurate.
 
Have you tried Auto Parts Machine Shop in Ann Arbor? Darryl is the owner, and a Mopar guy, I believe they have the capability to do that. He is my machine shop for all my rebuilds, and everyone else I know as well.
