Anyone here around back then remember any details.

Specifically the 1967 Models

Im trying to figure out, / gather pictures of the 1967 GTX with white interior.
Was it a race car , ever?
Were there actually 2 cars with white interior , with one of them being strickly a promotional / photo op car
Were there 4 cars total OR just the 3 with timeline creating the illusion of my Promo car theory?
Im told NONE of them was actually a 67 GTX.
And The white interior care car started life as a 383 Belvedere
Of the 2 cars with black interior , Only one was actually an RO car, the 2nd was just a modified Belvedere made up to look like an RO car

They only mention 2 on the website.

By 1965 and with the introduction of the 426 HEMI the prior year, Sox & Martin switched from Mercury to Plymouth and began a terror that would last almost a decade. From spotless race cars, matching team uniforms, and an overall professional clean image, Sox & Martin raised the bar. In 1967, Sox & Martin, along with their primary sponsor at Chrysler’s Plymouth Division, initiated the revolutionary Supercar Clinic program at dealerships across the country. It showcased Plymouth’s latest muscle cars, Mopar and aftermarket performance parts, and driving tips that encouraged young enthusiasts to race at NHRA-sanctioned drag strips. The program was a huge success and was expanded the following three years to more dealers across the United States.

A real GTX would have had lower sill and wheel well moldings, plus bucket seats. The RO cars had the moldings high on fenders and doors, per Belvedere II, with bench seat interior.

Of the 3 cars shown, I do not see a real GTX.

Of the 3 cars shown, I do not see a real GTX.
Thats what Im trying to nail down

Ive been digging / researching this for the past few weeks.
And so far, All I've been able to confirm thru various sources.

1 - Was a real RO car - Hemi 4spd - Most times had a hired driver, Herb McCandless, Dave Strickler , maybe others ) hemi 4spd , Blk bench seat interior
1 - Belvedere done up to replicate an RO car ( this is the car Ronnie Sox drove primarily ) hemi , 4spd, Blk bench seat int.
1 - Belvedere ( possibily was a 383 car ) done up to replicate a GTX , 440. 4spd , white bucket seat interior. Sometimes Flat hood, Sometimes GTX hood scoops.
Possible at some point the Blvd upper body line mldgs and RO hood scoop were added later .
As Im told they were still running at least 2 of the body style in 1968 , one in SS/B, sometimes SS/D , the other in SS/E

I have been unbale to confirm OR refute there was a 4th car Be it a real GTX or not
I've collected A BUNCH of photos from back then and have A LOT where the white interior car has no class designation or markings of any kind. I realize that's not the end all truth. And yes, In all said pictures the car - none have rocker or wheel lip mldgs , yet in dang near all. Its 67 GTX hood scoops, and quite obvious white bucket seat interior

My theory at the moment is that the white interior car was a Photo op / possible clinic show car only. Possibly / Maybe just early on.
Was this the car that was Then converted to SS/E drag car at later point in time during the season????? Inquiring minds want to know.

As THATS the car Im trying to replicate in scale ( Red inter is for my Don Grotheer car build )

Your models are awesome. The quest for detail is over the top. If these cars were built from generic cars I have a question. Were they white to start with? If so would the Sox and Martin applied red be under the chassis as the factory did it? I'm no nitpickinYour work. You are trying to create the most accurate model possible. What do you think?
Doug

The RO/WO cars would be all white from the factory, with black bench seat interior. The red would be a replication of overspray blown onto the bottom from when the side of the body was painted red by the race team.
