Speedo gone mad!

I recently replaced the speedo cog and all was good for a few days but today it makes an awful screeching noise over 40mph with loads of vibration in the speedo and a dancing pointer. Reckon I might have installed the cog wrong or maybe the cable is wrecked or something wrong with the speedo? I tried to upload a video but site didn't like .MOV file.

I had a similar issue, try lubricating the speedo cable. White lithium grease. Likely a lub issue, since you had it out and apart.

Thanks guys I reckon I'll just replace the cable to be sure or do you recommend lube it up too?

They don't need much but I'd lube up a new one also.
