Alright before ya tell me its an electrical issue hear me out....rebuilt a 440 bought a brand new TCI tranny put everything in but i used the stock speedo gear and cable. All is fine except my speedo doesn't work at all. I checked the wiring and everything worked fine when I took the old engine out so just wondering if using the stock gear and cable would have anything to do with this issue?? Thanks!!

Well what I took out was a 400 and whats in it now is a 440

Check the "clocking" of the speedo gear housing. If it isn't in the right place it can keep the speedo from working at all. Look closely at it. It has numbers for the # of teeth on the gear.
