and it was pretty awesome! It will be going on loan to the WPC museum at the end of August as well as being on display at 13 and Woodward this weekend.
It is the original body including fiberglass doors fenders and trunklid. I was told this was originally a 440 factory test mule of a car and Chrysler actually arranged for the fiberglass parts to be made. Back in the day this car had several different engines in it and where those ended up is pure speculation. There is a clone locally that claimes to have one of the early engines used in the car, but I don't think it can be verified.
Thanks,Matt;one of my favorite cars! Hope things are going well down on Woodward;it's a circus(but,a circus should be fun, right?) here at Back To The Bricks. LOTS of nice Mopars, and I've got pics! I'm too busy enjoying myself to get pics out;I'll deal with that this weekend. I may come down to Woodward Friday night;we'll see how things go.
Thanks Matt, That must have been a real MOPAR buzz looking at that! my wife when i showed her the engine didn't seem impressed, i told her look at the valve cover in relationship to the guys hand, WOW was the reply.... Real cool machine there!!

Thanks Matt. That car is truely an icon. It's one of the cars that got me into this whole mess. Along with the Vanishing Point Chally and of course the Bullit Charger. Then there was this article in Hot Rod about a SS Dart.......
