spotweld cutter size?

No sweat Don...Hard to understand what people are trying to get at through typing and I understand that. I really don't think so either and I wasn't trying to toss flak either, just stating my wonderful opinion of foriegn cheap tools. The hardest hit I ever took to the face was by my own hand. Yup, I kicked my own *** and was literally seeing stars when a buddies "pittsburgh tools" box end wrench snapped (H/F Special), thus fist to face. You're right, an air chisel can really tear stuff up if unleashed, but I wasn't reffering to tackling every panel with the toothed beast. Again, things can be looked at 12 different angles typing.

I know those cutters will work for you. Spot welds are a pain in the rear, they do get frustrating no matter what you use, so start off with a good tool and you're halfway there. You make a good point though, I do sound like the Blair poster child or something.
Best of luck kicking off your project and we're all here to help if questions arise.

Well, one thing you all don't have the regular option of dealing with is nice freshly clean blasted metal to easily find the spot welds, and no crud/rust encapsulating them as Prop indicated. Haha, c'mon prop, the air chisel is how you open your BBQ sauce I send you from Texas! My cheap *** HF spotweld cutters work great, but, I never put them to ratty metal either. :icon_fU:

Touché Donny! Nice rubuttal man..... Sorry, just had to ruffle your feathers on the cutters a bit. Me and H/F just can't seem to get a long. And yes, you sure have a clear advantage being able to clean her down like that. Makes life 10 times easier and in my opinion, if possible any bigger project should start with a full media blast. It's too bad some folks don't realize how much time/money would be saved by just spending $1500-$2000 up front.

I do appreciate the BBQ sauce..It's become a legend around here and only broken out special times of the year, like christmas silverware or something. Buddies always begging me to break out the Rudy's.
