Looks great! I agree, for a driver the bedliner is the way to go. I used Xtreme liner on mine which was a 2 part mix and came with ground rubber if you desired more texture. Very tough stuff and the 1 kit did the whole inside and underside.
Thanks again guys for the kind words. Got most of the engine bodywork done. Not going crazy. want spot welds to show and panels wavy. Want it to look like a production vehicle.
Glad to see many other people doing crazy stuff like I am doing. I am sometimes jealous b/c my two cars are so very different it is making it a bit tough.
Thanks guys! I'll see how time goes, but hope to spray the interior this weekend. It's a tinted bed liner, so if it looks good, may do the bottom in the same color instead of black.
The green is epoxy. It can be used as a no sand sealer as long as your in the window for re coat. I sanded the powder coat epoxy (gray), did a little body work, and then spray a few coats of epoxy (mainly because of exposed metal due to sanding). You have to let the epoxy cure for a few days before sanding. Sand the first epoxy coat, do a little touch up body work, and then epoxy again as a sealer. Base directly to unsanded epoxy and then clear. In this case, Imron high solids. I wouldn't do this on the exterior, but the engine compartment needs a little more durability. Now if this were a show car, the base color requires a value shade 5 for sealer before base. I would have then used the correct shade sealer and then base and clear. I wasn't too concerned, as this is a driver, and the guy doing exterior body/paint uses a different manufacture of paint than I do. So it's up to him to match mine .
