start up problems

Hi all,
Me and my son have been building a 72 Dart (his car)after 2yrs we finally got it all together.Went to start it and flamed out carb.rotated 180
now pops out headers.318 #302 heads .484 purple cam.found tdc drop distributor in rotated dist.180 like i said above.cant seam to get it to start.any ideas guys?

if there's a bad enough vac leak, or if the water passages between the intake/heads didn't seal up good it'll flame out too

check and see if you've got chocolate milk in the oil pan
 
First thing you have to remove valve cover and roate cylinder number one until you have tdc. Then you can determine whats wrong. Once you have this step two is to determine if you have a sprocket on timing chain out or distributor set wrong. Anything else comes after.
