I'm looking for a company that sells the old style steel wheels. I've got a 64 Belvedere and currently have Weld Prostar wheels all the way around. On the back I'm running 30 x 12.5 x 15 ET Street SS so I'm thinking 9" or 10" wide with the correct back spacing should work. Also, has anyone had their wheels powder coated? If not, what paint are you using? Thanks in advance for your help....

I bought 10" wide steelies from summit and brought them to a body shop to have them painted. I have the leftover paint at home, but it is just auto paint, nothing fancy, not powder coated. They have been painted like this for about a year and still look as good as the day picked them up from the painter.

I've seen powder coat die in the sunlight, now I don't know if there are different quality powder coats but a good automotive paint with UV blocker in the clear should last a lifetime, just might chip easier being the powder coat I've removed has usually been soft and tends to smear when the grinder gets it hot

Not sure what size rim your looking for, but the 15x8" have been on back order since the Pandemic Blockade...

Do what you like but steel wheels will slow it down over the Weld wheels

Are you looking for the correct looking steel wheels that will accept the 10 inch dog dish caps , that would be the right ones for your car. If so then we need to talk. I have the centers to build the wheels.

I called Wheel Vintiques for some custom Cop Car wheels. Any size back space ect but they are 8-10 weeks out.

Probably 15 x 7 up front and 15 x 10 in back

I don't drag race the car but do have some fun on the street every once in a while so I'm not to concerned about the additional weight

Frank, if he's looking for big poverty cap centers that the pre '67 cars used, I'm curious to know, is there a better way to get them in custom widths than buying Wheel Vintiques and having them recentered like you do?? Seems like an expensive way to go. In other words, can the rims be bought somewhere without centers, or already done?? TIA, Lefty71
