Gents...

Are these just a standard 12 point fastener, or are they a specialty item? Sorry for the stupid question but all my sockets are 6 point and I have nothing to check against and have never removed them in the past. The pic is of the steering box flange to K member on my 70 GTX. Thanks!

Thanks 70 GTX...so just a 12 point socket to remove?

yessir. good olde regular 12 pointer.

no speciality tools needed...unlike a certain brand that starts with an F, ends in a D, and has OR in the middle. lol

Thanks dudes!

I don't have any 12 point so I couldn't check...the easy way, lol.

Looks like I'm about to get some!

New tools!!! Sweet!!!

If they are not all rusty, why replace them? Just clean them and put a dab of Loc-tite on the threads and reuse them.....

no sense in replacing them unless they are broken or rusted on the threads & shank...

just clean 'em back up and use them again....they are tough bolts

You bet guys, for sure. I was referring to getting some new sockets...need some 12 point.:toothy10:

I have reused them with no issues. Maybe put a crisp new split lock washer in but that's about it.
