Hi , Tried searching for this first didn;t find anything . My 68 Satellite dashboard is sticky all the time tried cleaning it , it gets a little better than it becomes just as sticky again. anyone have a similar problem , and maybe a fix . Thanks

My 05 Dakota work truck has the same problem.

I've tried armor all, maguires, windex, 409...nothing works.

When it gets dusty, you have to scrub like hell to get the dust off, whatever cleaner you use.

Hopefully someone knows a secret.

acetone....then put some tire shine on it.....just make sure the acetone wont pull off the color in a hidden place first. theres really no reason it should be sticky unless someone at one time put something on it like a dash pad .....i dunno...im guessin here!:headbang:

How long have you had the car?Was it like that when you got it? Maybe get some dawn dishwashing soap and water in a spray bottle and a soft bristle toothbrush or a cleaner called "marine cleaner" and follow instructions on bottle in a spot that won't be seen. Or try "simply green". Just throwin' some idea's out there.

this stuff worked well for me on a sticky knee dash pad. cleaned it right up! available pretty much anywhere... :kermit:

btw...test it first, it WILL take dye off!!

I used to have a steering wheel that did that all the time, everytime i cleaned it, was fine for a few days and would come back.. I tried everything back then, i finally bought a new one, something im sure you don't want to do with your dash, hope Marios suggestion works for you! I was going to suggest that green cleaner thats so strong (Mean Green Super strength), wife uses it for cleaning tuff stuff but this may be better here..

Hey , I really appreciate your input , have had the car for a year and it was like this when I got , one owner car 90k on it . and the little pad on top of the dash is dry but the glove box door and all the padding around the instruments and control is what gets sticky,of course it is much worse in the summer heat,I'll try some of your suggestion probably won't know until it gets warm again, and the drive in is closed til then ,Thanks
