I recently purchased a '68 Super Bee. It looks to me as if it has been lowered a bit. Anybody know how much off the ground the body should be?

There is no specification for that. Post some pictures and see what opinions you will get.

Here are 3 photos...does it sit too low?

Sure there's a specification for that, in the FSM >> "Measure distance from lowest point of one adjusting blade to floor (Measurement A) and from lowest point of steering knuckle arm, at the centerline, on same side (Measurement B) to floor (Fig. 2). Measure only one side at a time. The difference between A and B (A always being greater than B) is the front suspension height. (4) Refer to Specifications and adjust if necessary."

If you read his question he was asking for body height to ground. I realize there is ride height which no one really uses. Seems like most prefer the look by eye.

Front looks a little high & rear an inch or two low. How old are the rear springs?
Allow me a “mopar Ed” story. 1st day on base in California (1970), got pulled aside at main gate for excessive height of rear bumper(?).The Bee was only a year or so old, so after it was looked over suspension-wise, I was allowed on base. Everything was still totally stock.

The stock ride height procedure leads to the stock body height so that’s what you use if that’s what you use if you want it to be stock look.

Gonna replace the 205/70R14's and cop drag wheels with GR7015 Firestone RWL with Cragar S/S and address the ride height and other suspension issues...lots of sway through curves...more than I remember from these cars. I appreciate all of the replies.

Check the sway bar end links. Mine seemed ok when I got the car and were deteriorating as I started using the car as mother Mopar intended. They still seemed solid when I checked by hand, but I took one out and it crumbled in front of me. I out the ford ball joint links in and never looked back. A direct bolt in for a 66-69 b body.
