Hey has anyone, here tried the Kirkland Signature brand/s from Costco
specifically the bourbons/whiskeys & the vodkas

I'm not a Scotch guy...
at all, don't know a lot about them which has what flavours
A buddy of mine says they're very good Kirkland special blends...

I'm really a straight up or on the rocks Makers Mark or Nobb Creek
kind of guy usually, sometimes a Samuel Adam beer chaser (I Know)
even a Lil' Jim Beam or Jack Daniels special bottles

I want another opinion before I order any...

I got a coupon from my lady friend, she knows nothing about booze/s

I think I have had it at my buddy Roberts house before, after golf
but really don't remember the texture or flavor, IIRC it was good...

I don't drink much at home I have an recovering alky for a dad
don't need to torture him with booze, I buy it & leave it at my neighbors place
Darren, he's good about it, understands too...

I've never had Kirkland booze, but if it's like everything else they sell there, it's probably worth a shot. (pun intended LOL) I don't think I've ever bought anything Kirkland that I haven't been satisfied with. Esp that damn rotisserie chicken.

I have a coupon/card like gift certificate, specifically for their Signature booze/s

I don't shop there, don't know it well, it's down in the valley in Oakdale
my neighbors wife Coby does her girlfriend does too,
she gave it to me, she doesn't drink, may be something there too
(she's a bit young, almost 20 (17) years younger, but I never complained about that either)
after Elvis died, it's a $250 card, she doesn't drink, so she gave it to me... :bananadance:
Felt sorry for me, I assume...

The only thing I can recommend is to stay away from the Tequila..... that stuff made me puke relentlessly last time I had it.

Ski-trips..... ...I thought I was going to die.

It's all made by major distilleries and usually Nice for the pice. I have a few bottles if their small batch and bottled in bond bourbon that is quite good. It is made by Barton that makes 1792 juice. THey were less than $30 for a litre.

If you can get there before they're gone! Around here the people are like vultures waiting for those lil' birds....so I roast my own.

I don't know about the other liquors but their vadka is made by Grey Goose.

Whisky tasting group tonight. Interesting Scotch bottles. They are apparently an up and coming distillery from The Island of Raasay, Scotland. I see unpeated and combines peated and unpeated spirit matured separately in American rye, chinkapin oak and Bordeaux red wine casks. It should be fun. And, of course, a dozen or so sample bottles will be hauled in by members for sharing.

No, I didn't get this from my doctor. I'm not sure if this is for me and the bottles for my wife. I'm a little scared.

@Scott Engelhardt do you get to Cedar Rapids very often? Dave Johnson at Hy Vee Wine and Spirits on Blairs Ferry Road has always got some great barrel picks. Here's the 2 latest. Both are fricking delicious! The Minor Case is a 6 year which is pretty old for a rye (and it tastes like it). Look at the color on the Makers.
