I saw this ad back in September, one picture from the front in a storage unit, non running unfinished project in a storage unit but because of a lot of factors that added up I didn’t see it for a couple months. The seller was very nice once I actually got in touch with him but really didn’t know much about it other than he bought it about 15 years ago and had bought some parts for it over the years but lost interest. Price was firm but from what he told me on the phone, including that it had hideaway headlights and the “fancy taillights” and stressed that it was originally grey and not red but glossed over that it had door decals, I was feeling like his price might be just right.

I finally brought it home and it came with a 440 and 727 I’m hoping to get in it by spring.

This all sounds intriguing and the mystery is spellbinding. Good start of a thread.

7-19-72 engine block date, so my deduction is a ‘73 model year Charger. Possibly a Rallye package, but hey I’m no expert!

Looks like a lot of work ahead of you so good luck with the SUV……Storage Unit Vehicle.

If it has "fancy" tail lights, those are 72.

Hood has no emblems, which if factory could denote a 318 car.

Door "decals" but no mention of indentations.

That car was on Facebook a few months ago and according to the seller it was being stored to be restored... Comments showed he wasn't interested in selling just sharing. More on the story would be great.
